Props Make Meeting People Easier
Comment from JW While I like and agree with most of this article, it is never a good idea to go up to a dog and pet it. Dogs respond with submission (tail under hind end), friendliness (wag tail and lick), assertiveness (bark, show teeth) or aggression (biting) when approached with something or someone unknown. It is better to ask permission of the dog handler to approach the dog and then let the dog approach you. Even even-tempered dogs are sometimes threatened by a new person due to a smell, color or form that triggers a previous "threat" memory. Best to be safe.
Comment from kimylove Yeah that's a really great idea. I've always had problems setting into a conversation with someone now I know how to start it or get it going when we got nothing to talk about. Thanks and keep enlightening us on these issues.
Comment from peterpalm Very good article. I learned something new.
Comment from indianashes Article is good. No doubt props help. For me, I know more props than many others. I can start conversation with anybody. But my difficulty is the next part - how to know if someone is interested or not and whether to ask for a date or not. Because I have spoken with more than 1400 girls and all of them had boy friends or did not like to go or they said they did not know me or I do not know why they did not befriend me. Any suggestions? I do not believe in signs. I believe in talks. If a girl is afraid to talk, then she cannot be a good date. What would you say?
