Fun Ideas Where to Go and What to Do on a Date

Comment from MissCheviousOne
The Botanical Gardens provides a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere with plenty of scenery and interesting things to discover. It's quiet enough to talk to each other, and if the conversation fades there are topics of conversation in each flower you see. The traffic is normally low which allows for some private moments in a far off pathway, if things move in that direction. It's public and safe and may just be right for you too. :)

Catalina Island.

To a demolition site. Like, pull two lawn chairs up within view of a building getting trashed by a wrecking ball. Crack a few beverages and it’s on for like a couple hours or so. If you aren’t into it, then you are boring. Gotta appreciate destruction as much as construction. It’s like reverse architecture, just messier.

I would fly her out to Alderney in the channel isles for a picnic on the beach!

the greatest date idea that I find opens people up is to go to a unique toy store, one where plastics are rare and wood is the key ingredient in the toys. go to play then follow up at a local elementary school - long after hours - to play in the play ground. There is something about play that lets the adult walls down and reveal what is inside a person.

If I were a man on my first date in a long time and her too, I'd tell her nothing until we get to the museum. Then we would stand there for just a minute and watch her expression. Then I would say “How about we look at the arts and then we'll go and shop for some biography books and auto-mechanics books do-it yourself books? Then we could go and watch a race. After that, we'll eat Kraft dinner at my brother's place and I'll take you home. Is that a deal?” Not bad for a first date, hey? Danielovitch

Absolute place is in the museum. Since not many get the chance to visit museums

What a horrible article. No suggestions at all. Basically it tells us to be on the lookout for ideas. Hey brainiac, why do you think I clicked the article in the first place - to sneak a peek at some jazzy ideas because I am *already* on the lookout! Nice waste of bandwidth. In the future try giving some ideas. Or break it down and talk about what types of dates might be acceptable for first dates, return dates, and long term relationship dates etc.

The best place I took a first date was to a fair ground near the ocean in Rhode Island. We worked our way through the classic car show to a hot air balloon I had waiting that took us for a wonderful sunset ride over New Port and it's historic mansions. This was a blast, but in order to pull it off you need to find a woman that loves cars, the outdoors, and is not afraid of heights. :)

I have found that the best 1st date is something like a play or a theatre event that has live entertainment. This is nice because most times there is an intermission for more engaging conversation, and during the play you can laugh and whisper to one another. It's also a very specific plan, and I very rarely take them to dinner that night. Although they might be hungry, I don't think a girl likes to eat around a guy they just met (especially if she likes him).

Movies and dinner.

Barnes and Noble - Book choices and music choices provide invaluable insight and good conversation. It is also a casual place that reduces the pressure of a more formal atmosphere.

Paint balling.

Why not a State Fair????

Rio Mall in Gaithersburg, Md. Beside the usual "mall things", it has a lake on the outside, plus a walking path around the lake, with secluded areas to sit and talk. When the weather is nice you can feed the geese and ducks, or rent a boat for an hour. Plus it is a little out of the way and hard to get to.

I would go out to a nice restraint and go to the movies and then ride around town with the man I love and that would be the greatest night of my life.

In a café.

My absolute favorite place to take a new date – the U.S.A.

Ports of Call, San Pedro. Because you can see all kinds of cruise ships from all over the world leaving port attached to a little tug boat all the while your kicking back sipping on your favorite cocktail at the taverns patio located at the South end of the walk way. Or go on a whale watching cruise or just go window shopping at the various little theme businesses or feast on a fresh fish BBQ located throughout the sidewalk square. No cover charge. No parking fee!
