Will my family freak out?
Great advice. That is exactly what I have done with my parents but have only introduced them to women that were really special in my life. Eventually my sisters and cousins caught on and when we are out often discuss relationships but for mom and dad I have never said "I am a lesbian and this is my lover" Everyone close to them who knows my sexual preference and my parents agrees that this is the best way to go. I am sure that they know but prefer not to talk about it openly. Its worked great so far. If they ever come out and ask openly I will not lie but tell them the truth.

I think this is great advise! I am a 21 year old lesbian and I have not straight out told my father but have given him hints. He know who I am but we have never really talked about my sexuality (I dont feel I have to). Somtimes I joke and say "sorry dad, no grandkids for you". He has met a couple of my girlfrinds. Things seem to work out fine. Everyones family is different though, so good luck.
