We had started off by e-mailing each other a couple times a week for about a month or so. Then we started having phone conversations about twice a week. Now we are e-mailing each other every day, and we are talking on the phone at least once a week. J.L. is a very special person in my life. I am flying out there on July 2nd to meet him in person. We are both are very excited about meeting each other. We both have a ways to go before a relationship can begin, but thanks to Date.com, we have a very good start. UPDATE:

"I have an update on a letter that I had sent you about 2 weeks ago. This success story is for Men seeking Men. J.L. and I (D.R.) had our first meeting in person out in California, where he lives. I flew out there from Ohio on 7/2 and stayed until 7/9. He took vacation time from his work to spend time with me. The day that I arrived, he met me at the airport and went back to his place. We talked while I unpacked my suitcase. Then we decided to save on expenses, so we went grocery shopping together. We returned back to his place and prepared a dinner together. We ate and talked for the rest of the evening.

The next day, the 3rd., we took a trip together to Santa Cruz. We went to an amusement park and walked along a pier. I had brought my camera, and we took lot's of pictures of each other and of the sites. At the amusement park, they had a photo booth. We had taken a 4 pose polaroid together. 2 of the shots, we were kissing. On the way back to his place we stopped along the Pacific Coast Highway and took more pictures of the ocean and of each other. When we got back to his home town, we went for a nice dinner and a movie. After the movie, we went back to his place and talked some more, then we went to bed, falling asleep in each others arms.

On the 4th, we got up and cooked breakfast together, then went over to some friends of his for a barbeque. We stayed there all day and enjoyed the company of his friends and watched the fireworks going off.

On the 5th and 6th, we had went into San Francisco. We had explored the entire city and we took a lot of pictures of each other. On Fri. evening we went to a look out spot in San Francisco and watched the sun set and the city lights come on. On Sat. evening after sight seeing, we went to dinner and a show in downtown San Francisco.

On the 7th, we cooked breakfast together again, and went to church. After church, we went back to his place, prepared a nice dinner together and relaxed and played cards together.

On the 8th, We went to another amusement park and rode rides and had fun together. That evening, after we got back, I had to start packing for my flight home.

On the 9th, we got up, and I finished packing, and he took me to the airport. I checked in my luggage, then we went outside and talked. He stayed with me the entire time that I had to wait until it was time to head to the gate for my flight. Before we parted, we gave each other a long hug and a kiss right in front of the airport entrance.

When I arrived back in Ohio 9 hrs. later, I immediately called him and told him again that I had a really good time, and we talked on the phone for about 20 minutes.

We had really connected when we were together in person. We had established friendship before we meet in person. We connected after we meet in person. Now we will work on a relationship together. As he had stated, "We need to take things one page at a time, like reading a book." We had turned several chapters in the book already, and I can't wait to see what happens, and he can't wait to see also.
