Marriage date: March 20th, 2006
"In January of 2002 a relationship I was in ended after 2 years. My best friend at the time talked me into trying Date.com. My rules were simple...they had to live within my area and they could not be named Larry. I had previously dated two other Larry's and wanted to move on. Well the one guy who kept coming up as my perfect match lived in San Antonio, Texas (I lived in Little Rock, Arkansas) and you guessed it was named Larry. After ignoring it for a while I finally decided to at least drop him a note. I mean what could it hurt - he lived miles and miles away. He wrote back on my 46th birthday, March 20, 2002. We finally talked about a week later and the first conversation lasted over 4 hours. In April of that year he came to visit me in Little Rock. We had already fallen in love just with our conversations but both were too afraid to say the words. On our first date - a picnic in the park - we were practicing some his lines from a play he was in and one scene had the male telling the female he loved her. When Larry III (the 3rd) said the lines I knew they were not lines from a play, but real words said to me. I blurted out I love you and the rest as they say is history. I moved to San Antonio in July of that year and we have our wedding date set for the first day of Spring next year.....March 20th which also happens to be the anniversary of the day we met (4 years) and also the 50th anniversary of my birth. We are planning a wedding in Las Vegas at the Chapel of Love and Elvis Presley is going to marry us. All of our children will be present for the occasion as we continue this journey that began one quiet day on Date.com."
