Dear Anonymous,
Sex without intercourse sounds like a contradiction, but I assure you it is not only possible but popular. In this Internet age, sex without intercourse takes place all over the web between people who have never met each other, will likely never meet each other, may have never seen eachother, and may not even know each other's (real) names. "Cybersex," the exchanging of erotic stories, suggestions, and photos through e-mail or chat rooms is an example of how one can get a sexual charge with another person without engaging in intercourse. This is not only sex without intercourse, but also an example of "safe sex," perhaps the safest sex of all (providing you keep it completely anonymous, of course). 
 
Before "Cybersex," there was, and still remains, "phone sex." Look in the classified section of almost any newspaper that carries ads for adult services and you'll find plenty of phone numbers you can call for a charge to speak to a real live breathing person, usually female, who'll coo or talk dirty in your ear and use her voice and imagination to inflame your imagination to the point of orgasm. Such services are primarily geared to heterosexual men, and can be quite profitable.
 
The Spike Lee film, "Girl 6," was an interesting exploration of that peculiar profession seen from the perspective of a woman toiling in the field. There are also cases in which a prostitute, male or female, is hired by a patron, male or female, simply to be present while he or she masturbates before them. And don't forget the world of S and M, in which sexual satisfaction almost never involves intercourse. Bondage, humiliation, and other specialties are very erotic and sexually satisfying, and they rarely involve intercourse between the master/mistress and the submissive slave, especially if the relationship is one between a female Dominant and a male submissive.  So, yes, sex without intercourse is possible. Let my first lesson to you be this one: sex is first and foremost a mental activity. Our minds and imaginations are the most potent sexual organs we have. Intercourse is only one extension of the erotic playground that exists in our minds.
