Should I make a pass at him?

Dear Brian,
I am 21 years old and there’s a really cool looking guy in my class. Now the problem is that I'm in love with him and want to get him. But the thing is that I don't know whether he is gay or not but he keeps on making passes at me. Yet, he also makes fun of gays. I'm confused, but he is really cool with me. Now, should I make a pass at him and confess my love for him, or wait for him?!!!

Dear Karan,
If he keeps making passes at you and you’re interested (as you obviously are), GO FOR IT! Tell him how you feel and take it from there. I wouldn't place too much significance on the fact that he makes fun of gays. If he’s made passes at you, he’s gay himself. By making fun of his own kind, he’s probably just being defensive, not entirely comfortable with the way other people may react to his sexuality. Have you told him that you’re gay? It’s possible he’s not sure that you are and you’re the one he’s defending himself against. Come out to him! Let him know you’re gay and let him know you want him!
